Managed to complete my order without any hitches

By in United Kingdom,

I had problems to start with, but the order went through on my 3rd attempt - so keep trying.

(Very glad, as this is the 40% I've been waiting for all week!)

By in United Kingdom,

This is the one I've been waiting for. Not sure why. Maybe because I love stormtrooper variants and at full retail it's way overpriced.

For people having problems ordering... I always seem to have problems from a PC but ordering from my phone generally works a lot better.

By in Austria,

was at the door when they opened this morning, got 2 of them. Nice set, but at that RRP there should have been at least 1 more minifig: an Imperial officer for the Rebels to knock out and use his uniform.

By in United Kingdom,

This is the one I've been waiting for. So I bought two, using the shopping link provided, of course :-)
I agree that it seemed overpriced at RRP, so I was waiting for a discount anyway. 40% is fabulous and having two will allow me to build out a better scene.
And R2-D2 is fabulous!

By in Poland,

I've been unable to make any purchase in the online store since they changed the website. But, the intresting thing is that I was able to buy something as a guest.

Yesterday I got the Millennium Falcon and was able to buy it without logging in. I did not get any VIP points, but it's a small sacrifice in this case.

By in Germany,

Bought 2 of this nice set as well, always wanted two but wanted to wait on a nice discount, and here it is :D

They are 5 euros more expensive in the netherlands though :(

Would have used the shopping links but at the time of ordering the article wasn't posted yet, and couldn't have waited as i was afraid they would get out of stock.

@TWP
I often go to the set in the database, click the Buy tab and follow the link to LEGO.com or Amazon from there, just to support the site.

By in Puerto Rico,

I am glad that I managed to get this set, the Imperial BP, the Rebel BP, a curved and T road plates, Easter Hunt, and some Bricks and Pieces (including two 32x32 grey baseplates) on May 4 with a free R2-D2. I was so waiting for an opportunity to get the Scarift Battle and it was a great surprise for me to have bought with a discount (even if it wasn't 40% like in Europe). Now to start pulling my next order.

Does anybody know the threshold for the R3 promotion?

By in United States,

@TWP, thanks for thinking of us but unfortunately we only earn commission from sales in countries that we provide links for: USA, Canada, UK, Germany and France, so don't worry!

By in Netherlands,

How annoying, I cannot place my order at LEGO.com. And how typical that almost all SW sets are on backorder, or out of stock. TLG knows that people are going to order a gazillion SW sets with the May the 4th deals, yet they don't seem to factor this in in their inventory.

By in Netherlands,

Hurrah! After some web hiccups I managed to place my order. 75171 X2 plus a R2-D2 is coming my way, soon I hope!

@speed champions I think that it is just a "buy something SW" the people at our local store said that even buying a key chain will do it. But they are also having a sale that if you spend €55 you get 5 of the lego batman movie collectible minifigs free starting the 10th through the rest of the month. Looks like I'm headed back there on the 17th to pick up the early access for the new amusement ride and get some key chains!

By in United Kingdom,

Been so excited for this. I ordered 2 this morning. The shoretroopers are amazing. :)

By in United Kingdom,

This set is on Back Order now until 17th of May? TLG must have had good day selling these!
Maybe they will take the hint that demand is much higher on sets with more reasonable RRP's?

By in United Kingdom,

@jonmdudley
Thanks for that, although I'm still planning to buy the star scavenger. I know it's got negative reviews, but those minifigures are just too good to pass on.

By in United States,

@Speed champions fan, I only really pay attention to reviews when I am on the fence on things. If you are aware of what the set can be and still want it then go for it. I just started collecting SW sets so that i can have people dressed up in my city for MT4th and days like Force Friday or when the movies are out having people dressed up in the Palace Cinema. That of course grew into wanting all of the battle packs, micro fighters, and some of the EPVII sets.

@Huw
(about clicking through links so Brickset recieves commission, but not working in Netherlands)
Oh okay, well I was always clicking those links and then changing my country... well won't need to do that then anymore if it doesn't work xD

Has anyone else fallen into the slightly obscure situation where you have actually paid more for the set just so it gets over the threshold for the R2D2? That's what I did with the battle of Scarif a few days ago, combining it with Duel on Naboo. At least I got it before it was on backorder, but I guess I just love polybags too much...
